Job description

As a Foodie, you take care of the breakfast buffet in Townhouse from A to Z. You are the one that makes sure the breakfast is absolutely delicious and looks appetizing, because breakfast is the most important meal of the day. You’ll also make sure to refill everything, cleaning the buffet afterwards, doing orders with our supplier and maintaining a high quality throughout the breakfast.

Your responsibilities include:

  • preparing the breakfast buffet
  • making sure the buffet looks attractive
  • ensuring the restaurant looks neat and tidy
  • giving guests advice on suitable dishes for certain food intolerances
  • doing supply orders for the breakfast
  • making the schedule for the breakfast shifts
  • cleaning the breakfast room and kitchen
  • giving everyone a big smile in the morning

As Cinderella, a high crispy clean level makes you happy. You will get to work in the coolest and newest hostel of Europe, just nominated for Best Hotel Concept of 2019. You will fly through every single shared area in The Green Elephant to make everything spotless, from Tiny Dream Houses halls and our DIY Meal Prepper guest kitchen, to Morgenfrisk bath houses and our wellness. Feel free to skip all guest rooms and Tiny Dream Houses, those are for our housekeeping partner company. During work you will probably meet a few digital nomads, sustainability-minded budget world travelers, and health lovers who value clean living.

You:

As a Guest Happiness Server, you are the primary point of contact for our guests and clients and the calling card for Kaboom Hotel. You are the philosophy of The Green Elephant in person. Someone who value taking good care of themselves. Maybe you sport on a regular basis or love to meditate. You give meaningful attention to yourself and by doing so, you inspire our guests to do the same. You love to take responsibility, whether it is at the front office or in our all-day restaurant. You are eager to share your own vision and input to help us further improve our hospitality concept.

Your responsibilities include:

  • knowing every hotspot in the neighbourhood and give our guests the best local and insider’s tips
  • ensuring that guests experience a personal and unforgettable stay
  • checking reservations
  • checking guests in and out
  • carrying out administrative tasks, such as processing payments and managing inventory and orders
  • checking the work of the housekeepers
  • serving as the primary point of contact for housekeeping
  • providing services
  • generating reviews

Job requirements

You...

  • have an intermediate vocational or higher vocational degree in a hospitality-related sector
  • commit yourself 100% and enjoy shift work
  • have experience in the hospitality sector
  • have knowledge of Amadeus or any other PMS, that would be an advantage

As the gatekeeper, you are the primary point of contact for guests at night and responsible for the security of the hotel. You answer questions posed by guests, check guests in and out, carry out administrative tasks, and help us by performing small cleaning jobs or other tasks while keeping an eye on things.
